Liverpool secured a 2-0 victory against Ipswich Town at Portman Road, driven by two early goals from Alexander Isak that earned manager Andoni Iraola his first win since taking charge in the summer.

Sweden international Alexander Isak struck in the sixth and ninth minutes of Friday's match, calming early concerns for Liverpool after two consecutive winless games to start the season. For his first goal, Alexander Isak received a precise through ball from Cody Gakpo, dribbled past Jacob Greaves, and slotted a drilled finish past Kjell Scherpen.

With the match firmly under control in the second half, Andoni Iraola brought on Bradley Barcola in the 64th minute for his debut following his club-record transfer from Paris Saint-Germain. Andoni Iraola took over from Arne Slot, whose tenure ended after one season when the team's title defense faltered last term.

Despite a tricky fixture against a newly promoted Ipswich Town side, Liverpool delivered a dominant performance and secured a clean sheet. Liverpool captain and central defender Virgil van Dijk told Sky Sports, "We were more direct, which we wanted, in the start and we scored two great goals."
