Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka both scored twice as England secured a dominant 7-0 victory against Croatia in the Nations League on Saturday.

Thomas Tuchel’s side delivered a masterclass in Rijeka to claim their second win in the opening three matches of their Nations League group. England captain Harry Kane extended his record goal tally for his country to 89 with his brace. However, the Bayern Munich striker was supported by standout performances across the squad.

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka also netted twice to help record the biggest win of the Tuchel era. Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham marked his return to the starting lineup with a goal and three assists following Tuesday’s 2-0 win against Czech Republic. Anthony Gordon added another to maintain his streak of scoring four goals in his last four England matches, while Morgan Rogers capped the victory with a late goal.

England are pursuing a top-two finish to secure a place in the Nations League quarterfinals in March. They will conclude the international break by facing Czech Republic again at Wembley on Tuesday.

Saturday's fixture was played behind closed doors due to crowd trouble involving Croatia fans against France in 2025. Only approximately 6,000 local schoolchildren and 100 England supporters were permitted into the Stadion HNK Rijeka, creating a subdued atmosphere.

Despite a relaxed buildup that saw England players swimming in the Adriatic Sea earlier in the week, Thomas Tuchel's men quickly asserted their dominance on the pitch. Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott made his first start for England and initiated the opening attack in the eighth minute, passing to Jude Bellingham, who set up Harry Kane for a clinical finish.

England maintained relentless pressure, with Jude Bellingham scoring in the 21st minute after a 27-pass team sequence. Anthony Gordon added a third just before halftime with a header from Jarell Quansah's cross, and Bukayo Saka scored just before the whistle following brilliant work from Jude Bellingham against Luka Modric.

The second half brought more goals as Harry Kane scored his second in the 53rd minute, Bukayo Saka grabbed England's sixth in the 68th minute, and substitute Morgan Rogers rounded off the scoring in the 87th minute to seal the 7-0 rout.
