Doha, Qatar – The Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) is currently hosting Milipol Qatar 2026, the 16th edition of the international exhibition dedicated to homeland security and civil defence. The event, which runs for three days, features over 270 local and international companies presenting the latest advancements in defence technologies and security solutions.

A significant development occurred on Tuesday as Qatar and France signed a three-year action plan for security cooperation, set to run from 2027 to 2030. This agreement aims to enhance collaboration in critical areas such as combating organised crime, drug trafficking, counterterrorism efforts, ensuring security for international events, and civil protection.

Milipol Qatar has been a biennial event since its inception in 1996, marking its 30th anniversary this year. The exhibition floor buzzes with activity, showcasing cutting-edge technologies, including a notable appearance by a robot dog navigating the pavilions. Visitors, including Qatar's Labour Minister Ali bin Saeed bin Samikh al-Marri, are touring the extensive displays.

This year's exhibition runs concurrently with the Doha International Conference on AI and Security, underscoring the increasing integration of artificial intelligence into security operations and highlighting the vital role of technological innovation in the field of homeland security.
