The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has confirmed casualties resulting from an attack that targeted King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. In an update posted on its official X account (formerly Twitter), GACA reported that the death toll from the incident has risen to two, with the confirmation of an additional fatality. The individuals who lost their lives were identified as a Saudi citizen and an Indian national.

The Authority also stated that eight people sustained injuries, with their conditions varying from minor to severe. The injured comprise one Saudi citizen, two Indian nationals, two Yemeni nationals, two Bangladeshi nationals, and one Nepalese national. GACA conveyed, “They are receiving the necessary medical care in several hospitals. We pray for mercy for the deceased and a speedy recovery for the injured.”

The statement concluded by highlighting the “ongoing work—in full coordination and integration with relevant security authorities—to assess the damages, take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of passengers and workers, and maintain the security and safety of the Kingdom’s civil aviation ecosystem.” According to GACA, airport operations have since resumed, and air traffic has returned to normal.
