Egypt has issued a strong condemnation of the attack that occurred on Wednesday evening at King Fahd Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs released an official statement via its Facebook page, declaring, “The Arab Republic of Egypt expresses its strongest condemnation and denunciation of the attack that targeted King Fahd Airport in the city of Dammam in the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The attack resulted in two civilian casualties and several injuries, in a continued violation of international law and a indiscriminate, irresponsible targeting of air navigation, facilities, and civilians.”

The statement further emphasized Egypt's stance: “Egypt stresses its absolute rejection of such practices that inflame the crisis, escalate tension, and destabilize the region. Egypt reaffirms its full solidarity and stand alongside the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its leadership in defending its territory and citizens, as the Kingdom’s security is an integral part of Arab and Egyptian national security.”
