Dubai Mourns Loss of Dedicated Police Leader Maj Gen Khalifa bin Dhaen Al Mheiri, Honored by Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Hamdan

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, has expressed his deep sorrow following the passing of Maj Gen Khalifa bin Dhaen Al Mheiri. Sheikh Mohammed remembered Maj Gen Al Mheiri as a "loyal man" who dedicated 50 years of his life to serving the nation. He lauded him on X as "one of the dedicated leaders of Dubai Police and one of the most faithful who devoted his career to the Al Maktoum family and the citizens over five decades of continuous service." Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that Dubai will forever cherish the memory of those who served the emirate with unwavering loyalty and dedication, offering his prayers for Maj Gen Al Mheiri's family and loved ones.

Maj Gen Al Mheiri, born in Jumeirah during its early days as a modest settlement, joined the military at the young age of 14 and was among the inaugural members of the Dubai Police. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, also paid a heartfelt tribute. He noted that Maj Gen Al Mheiri was one of the first young men to join the Dubai Police after its establishment, undertaking numerous roles and responsibilities throughout his decades of service. His commitment extended beyond his official duties, as he continued to support various charitable, educational, and community projects even after retirement.

Maj Gen Khalifa bin Dhaen Al Mheiri's influence extended far beyond his law enforcement career, leaving a significant mark on society. He founded Jumeira University with the aim of preserving and disseminating his community's cultural heritage, an institution that continues to equip future generations with knowledge, skills, and a profound sense of civic responsibility. Jumeira University officially mourned the founder on Wednesday, with its management extending sincere condolences to Maj Gen Al Mheiri's family, loved ones, and the entire university community, expressing deep gratitude for his service and generosity.

Furthermore, Maj Gen Al Mheiri was the visionary behind the Bin Dhaen Group. What began as retail ventures and a trading house in 1990 has evolved into a diversified conglomerate with interests in trading, industry, contracting, education, real estate, and services.
