England and Al-Ahli striker Ivan Toney has pleaded not guilty to charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The 30-year-old footballer appeared at Southwark Crown Court in London on December 6 last year, where he formally entered his plea following an alleged confrontation at a nightclub on Wardour Street. A provisional trial date has been set for June 12 next year at the same court. Judge Christopher Hehir apologized for the delay, citing the significant backlog of cases in the crown courts. Toney, who represented England at FIFA World Cup 2026 and currently plays for Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League, was released on unconditional bail. His career began at Northampton Town, followed by spells at Newcastle United and Peterborough, before he became a Premier League star at Brentford, earning his England call-up. He joined Al-Ahli in 2024.
